Phil’s Answer

Hi James, I can tell you from experience that you will definitely want to work in a field that interests you. A job can be a very rewarding experience, if you work doing something that you enjoy. Money is important in life, but it will not make you as happy as a job that you enjoy going to every day. Pick something that makes you happy; helping people, creating something new, building things, working with animals, there are soooo many jobs to choose from. Pick one that fulfills you and makes you want to wake up everyday and do it again day after day.

Kim’s Answer

Hi James

Phil has given you some excellent advice. I have just one additional thought that you may want to consider regarding your interests. You may benefit from understanding your natural strengths and building your career path from there. My favorite assessment is StrengthsFinder. The resulting report will provide insights into your natural strengths and what opportunities may be a potential fit. To do what you love and enjoy doing it should be the ultimate goal. Best wishes to you.

Kim recommends the following next steps:

Research the StrengthsFinder assessment to determine the fit for you.
Take the assessment and review the resulting report to determine the best opportunities for you.
Retain the report for reference as your career progresses.
