Grant’s Answer

Hello David, I have worked in Electrical installation (New build Industrial, Data centres, Offices, Schools,Hospitals) and Electricity generation projects like wind farms and Pylons as well, there is a lot that you can do as an Electrician from day to day and much of it will be domestic to start with until you get onto the big sites.

I am based in the UK, there is one American Electrician that I know lives not too far from me, he moved over from California.

Some things are different in America but I can keep you right and answer any questions that you have and help you in the right direction.

Starting out you will probably be wiring new houses and places like retail and hotel sites..

You could specialise in fire alarm systems or go into Atex industrial and work in manufacturing or airports..
