Hi Maurico,

While I can't stop you from exploring the opportunity to become a pro gamer, it may take some time and practice to get to a level where you even make money, let alone enough to support yourself. In short, continue to play games, create a Twitch account and start streaming! The more you practice and streaming you do, the better you'll become even as a player of the games you enjoy.

However, if you need a break from playing video games, you could also look into working for a company that produces the specific games you enjoy or the platforms that you play on, whether Playstation, xBox (Microsoft), PC or mobile (Apple or android) games.

As someone who has worked in the gaming industry, both Playstation and Google for mobile games, I was able to play and test games throughout my day and even help to launch some big AAA titles. Think about other reasons that you enjoy video games, maybe the artwork or the storyline or gameplay? Maybe you enjoy promoting the games themselves like an ambassador. This could lead you down a business or entrepreneurial route if you want to promote or even make your own games. Whatever your other interests are within gaming, there is a whole industry that you can explore to still be working in "gaming".

Best of luck!

Renee recommends the following next steps:

Make a list of your top 5 gaming companies that make your favorite games.
Make a list of other reasons why you like video games.
Explore the job openings and see if any jobs sound exciting.
