There are apprenticeship programs where you get to work full-time and take courses to be a certified-electrician and work for the company and receive great benefits.

I recommend a 2 year associate's program at a community college then start your work as a journeyman. As a journeyman, you will get paid. After 5-6 years, you will be a master electrician.
