How many years does it take to become a translater.

I would like to become a translater to better understand people. I could possibly help a foreigner who needs help. I would like to travel in the future and by knowing more languages i can get along a little easier.

Hello Xochilth,

The education required to become an interpreter depends on individual career goals, but most jobs require advanced fluency in the language being interpreted, as well as a four-year degree.
