Becoming a medical assistant is a great idea! You can usually get a medical assistant certificate within one year after finishing high school.
Candidates are required to have graduated from a medical assisting program (may be a one-year certificate or diploma program or a two-year associate degree program) that is accredited by either:
The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP)
The Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES)
Then, you must take and pass the CMA Certification Examination
Lots of jobs will be available to you with ample opportunity to advance.
Good luck!

There are many colleges, universities, and technical schools that offer medical assistant training programs. Depending upon your preferences, you may choose to earn a certificate or diploma in as little as 9-12 months, or an associate's degree in18-24 months.
