Eugenie’s Answer

Hi Rachel!

I work for HotelTonight as a Market Manager meaning I am the account manager for the relationship with hotels. Account management means dealing with clients and making sure they're happy, providing them with data and reports, etc. It requires a great deal of organization and in person meetings so I think your strengths would play to that! Account management also usually requires you to travel to go meet your clients face to face every once in a while. You could look into account management positions at tech companies such as HotelTonight or any other tech company you can think of!! Find one that speaks to your interests!

Hi Rachel!

Thanks for your question. Punctuality and Perfection are important strengths in any career! I am an accountant and it is very important to possess both of those things. Generally as an accountant you are dealing with very detailed numbers and figures, attention to detail is crucial. Additionally, accounting is a service so being punctual is important as well.

Reading and Travel, these fit well into many careers. I currently travel all over the world for my job at PwC and spend a large chunk of my day reading.

During a job interview, I think it is a great idea to ask about a day in the life of someone performing the future role or asking what skills/qualities do well for the role.

Hello Rachel,

Great question! There are many careers which will allow you to travel. You could look into hospitality, preferably in an international company which will allow you to travel with work. I worked for Hilton and lived and worked in 5 different countries within 4 years!

Account management with accounts in international markets will allow you to travel with work - I now work at Airbnb, living in London, travelling to Spain and Portugal where I manage accounts. You could also look into writing (travel blogs) that will pay you to travel and write!

Good luck!

Nadia

Sydney’s Answer

Hi Rachel, I also love reading and traveling!

I would suggest maybe working for an international company that would allow you the opportunity to travel for your job! Or maybe even work for a travel company that would pay you to travel and write blogs about your travels. I know those are some things I considered when I was planning my career and now I'm suggesting them to you. Hope this helps!
