I want to be in a career that has to do with some type of medical research. I would be really helpful if someone can share some experience working in medical research.
I've been looking into pharmaceutical sciences, epidemiology, and molecular biology but I'm open to learning about more careers. Can anyone share their experience and some advice on getting into their career? #medicine #biology #research #pharmaceuticals #public-health #drug-development #epidemiology #disaster-medicine

There can be several types of medical research. 1. Pharmaceutical research: It is where you develop a new medication to cure a disease or to prevent the progression of it. Pharmaceutical companies such as Pfizer, Abbvie, etc. are the places where you can work. You probably need a Pharm.D. degree or a master degree in biochemistry, biology, chemistry, etc. 2. Diagnostic instrument development: You develop an instrument to diagnose a disease (blood pressure monitor, Ultrasound machine). you may need a master degree in biochemistry and big companies such as Roche, etc. are the place of employment. 3. Medical research: Big teaching hospitals are involved in several medical research to improve treatment plan for the specific disease. Sometimes, they also develop the new methods to diagnose and cure disease, for example, genetic testing, For it, you will need an MD degree or a nurse degree.
