At minimum, you need a 4 - year university degree in nursing. Previous nursing experience or even post graduate education will help you get the job.

You need a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN), become certified in neonatal intensive care, and go through a few years of clinical experience. However, most hospitals are starting to require a two year masters degree in nursing.
