Hey Raymundo,
I'm not too sure about what field you are interested in, but I am in the technology sector (Training Program Manager for a Global Support Readiness team for Cloud Collaboration at Cisco). In general, having an overall plan to get where you want to be, but also having the flexibility to change is the most important. In a recent town hall, our CEO Chuck Robbins suggested to not have a plan at all, but let your path take you where it is. I on the other hand suggest having a broad idea, and seeking opportunities to investigate further. If you have an interest in a field, take some courses, or volunteer in that area to make sure you continue to have interest. From there, at least in the technical industry, seek to gain technical certifications from Cisco or CompTIA.
Hope this helps!
