It depends on where you are!
For instance, here in Sudan we need a bachelor degree in physical therapy from 4 to 5 years. Then you graduate under the title of "physical therapy practitioner" after you gain some experience and then be eligible for the licence exam and after you pass the test you'll be upgraded to be " 2nd specialist in physical therapy" .. Getting a MSc degree your title will become "1st specialist in physical therapy". Finally if you got the doctorate of Physiotherapy you'll become a "consultant physical therapist".

To be more specific, some PT programs will require specific pre-requisites, so what you do for your bachelors degree is important. Good places to start include biology, kinesiology, psychology, etc.

To become a PT, one needs a bachelor's degree and Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree. Most physical therapists hold a doctorate, which usually takes three years to complete. Master’s degrees take two years.
