Hi Alyssa,
Communication is a very good strength to have. And since you like tv, perhaps you could look at things in Television such as a news reporter, a sports caster, etc. Or maybe you will like to work behind the scenes with directing or working with the camera. Even teaching these type of things in a school may be good.

Hi Alyssa,
Good communication skills are absolutely essential no matter what profession you choose but coupled with an interest in TV could translate into a career in Broadcast Journalism/Production or Communications. There are many different opportunities behind scenes working in television such as Producers, Videographer, Writer and Production assistant.
I recommend reviewing employment sites such as Indeed or inquiring at your local junior college what types of classes are offered in this field. In high schools in the U.S., video production courses are offered whereby you learn to edit videos, write copy for television segments, produce and an assortment of other roles and responsibilities associated with television.

Communication is a very special skill that in todays Career choices is almost used every minute of the day. It is so versatile meaning it can be used in so many instances: you can speak, write books & scripts, edit, produce, be a critic, text, blog, email and others. Along with your hobbies of Watching TV I would suggest a few ideas: A critic for television shows, cartoons, series, movies and other; An Announcer or broadcaster, Editing the scripts that they often have to change, writing scrips for a particular series or show, writing advertising for TV shows and commercials, If you are a sports fan you can be a critic, or announcer for games and even write commercials like the ones at Super bowl. Depending if your communicating skills are either oral or written you have some choices in which you could use your communication skills and also watch TV. Again I would take an assessments survey to see what other types of areas you might be interested in for your communication career. SDS is a good assessment and is usually found at the junior college or college level. You might be able to find it also on the internet. The one thing to try and figure out is what area of communication do you like the best and what area is the best for you? Is it speaking, writing , criticizing, editing, selling, and the assessment will help you out with finding your best area.
