Geoff’s Answer

Hi Falcon

There is a lot of opportunity in the Big Data Analytics space because that often drives machine learning/AI solutions. So maybe have a look there. My company currently has openings for positions like "Machine Learning Architect ". And as others have said robotics is also likely a great fit. Bottom line AI is a great place to be. Good Luck!

Nija’s Answer

Hello Falcon,

I hope all is well. You have asked a very good question. There are different career options in Artificial Intelligence that you can explore. You have the opportunity to be a Video Game Programmer; Robotics Programmer; Machine Learning Researcher; Data Mining Analyst; Software Engineer; and working the Military; and a Business Intelligence Developer.

Nija recommends the following next steps:

Continue to research the possible careers in the field of Artificial Intelligence by going to the library to obtain books and searching the internet.
You can have a conversation with the faculty department or a professor to learn more about the different careers in the field of Artificial Intelligence
Interview professionals in the field.
Think about participating in an internship so that you can figure out your interests.

You are looking at Data Science or Data Analytics, depending on the firm that is doing the hiring. There are Data Science courses on Coursera you could use to get started or try out the Data Analytics certificate at grow. google. com to start developing some of the necessary skills.

Richard’s Answer

Hey Falcon,

AI (Artificial Intelligence) is finding it's way into multiple industries and applications, from making engineers more efficient with supporting customers but monitoring case trends, to determining potential outputs based on market analysis. Here in Cisco Technical Services, we are more focused on the first part of that. Get involved in anything STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math). There is a lot of science and math that goes behind successfully programming a successful AI. Start learning languages like Python, and applying it. Most folks that are getting hired for any type of AI are computer programmers. Behind every AI is the code that holds it up, which was programmed by a very smart person!

Richard recommends the following next steps:

Get interested in coding Python
Get interested in robotics, which is largely based on some sort of programming (Python most likely)
