Entry level persons being trained to weld often earn $12-15 per hour. Experienced welders can earn up to 200K a year depending on area of expertise. There are many trade schools and opportunities to get into the business.

Based in your area, New Mexico, the salary Range for a Welder I = $31K - 50K a year. For different types of welding, like Pipeline welding it goes up to $88K.
