Sean’s Answer

Well it all depends on that you want to do to help children...

Public school teacher = degree and teacher certifications

Public school counselor= master and counselor certifications

LSSP= Masters and certifications as a psychologist

Speech therapist= Masters and therapist certifications

Non title 1 paraprofessional = willingness to do it

Title 1 paraprofessional = pass the para test or have 30 college hours

Daycare worker= willingness to do it

Tutor= someone willing to hire you

Again it all depends on what you want to do. The more responsibility you have in shaping their lives or for the safety of their lives a certification is necessary. The more you are just a body filling a role the less of a need of a certification.

Where they help the teacher teach, take data, and provide supervision to the students. Or they can be front desk, text book, attendance, secretary, library clerks. Whose jobs is to ensure the things that keep a school running happen.
