Jeff’s Answer

There are areas of study at colleges and universities of all sizes that can help you with your skills as a photographer. In addition to photography courses, art classes can give you more information about lighting, shapes, style. One of the main things is experience. Take pictures of family and friends, watch online videos about posing and lighting techniques. The camera is not as important as the eye of the photographer.
