Electricians are usually in high demand. It requires lots of hands-on, very detailed work but you will rarely be out of work. A tech or trade school would be a good place for training. Otherwise you might be able to find an apprenticeship.
Often the best way to become an electrician is through a Community College or local trade school. They will teach you what you need to be successful in the field. There are also options through apprenticeships. The world relies on electrical power to provide everyday essential life functions, so electrical field of work will always be in demand. You can get on-hand training and education through trade schools or through the military. The military has a wonderful training program in all electrical areas as to distribution, industrial, commercial and residential.
