Scott’s Answer

A cosmetologist requires a license to practice in the United States. Most folks in the profession start by going to a professional school. A list of cosmotology schools that may exist in your area is here: https://successfulstudent.org/best-cosmetology-programs/.

The school takes 8-12 months to complete. You'll need to take a state board license exam and then you'll be able to work professionally.
