How many year does it take to be a professional photographer

Would it be a difficult to be a photographer. I love to take photos of landscapes and my friends already. So l would love to have that as a career. But l just don't think that would be a full time job that would be needed much. #photography #career #art

I am not a professional photographer but have also considered this as a career path! More important than the amount of years, is building your portfolio. Your portfolio is a collection of photos where people can see your work (such as a website or Instagram profile). Start by offering your photography for free to build your portfolio and refine your photography skills. Refer to professional photography websites to learn how to price and market your photography.

It is not the number of years which makes the difference but it is how you take the picture and the quality of that photos. There can be photographers who have 20 years of experience but they are not as skillful as amateur who has certain perspective in photo taking. In general, most photographer takes 2-3 years to build up their foundation in all aspect of photography. Build up your portfolio along the way and develop your own style.
