It depends on the location and practice setting. Generally physicians in private practice make more money than those in academic setting. Range is $280,000 - $540,000 per year.

The highest earners — orthopedic surgeons and radiologists — were the same as last year, followed by cardiologists who earned $314,000 and anesthesiologists who made $309,000
