Most community college and 4 year universities have nursing training. Here in Texas, the University of Texas at Austin consistently ranks as a top institution for nursing training.

There are many colleges and universities across the United States that offer nursing programs, it really depends on where you want to go to school. If you decide you want to remain in California, I recommend taking a look at the University of California, California State University in Sacramento and San Diego State University.
