Most community college and 4 year universities have nursing training. Here in Texas, the University of Texas at Austin consistently ranks as a top institution for nursing training.

There are many colleges and universities across the United States that offer nursing programs, it really depends on where you want to go to school. If you decide you want to remain in California, I recommend taking a look at the University of California, California State University in Sacramento and San Diego State University. So there are many colleges in the USA that have a specialized Nursing Program. I have listed a few here based on their rankings:

  1. John's Hopkins University : Johns Hopkins University is ranked No. 1 in Best Nursing Schools: Master's and No. 1 in Best Nursing Schools: Doctor of Nursing Practice. Schools are ranked according to their performance across a set of widely accepted indicators of excellence.
