Which pharmaceutical chain is better to join, Fry's or Walgreens?
My mother is trying to recruit me to Fry's because she works there and they have better benefits. I feel Walgreens is the way to go, as when I start a family, I want a home and local job. Does anyone have any advice?

Hello Veronica,
Hope you are good. Posting this answer from a Walgreens employee
I was employed at Walgreens for several years and managed multiple departments, including pharmacy.
A couple years after I was forced to stop working due to a non-work related injury (that I now am classified as disabled), I wanted to see what CVS was all about since many of my days were spent behind a Walgreens counter.
For whatever reason, I actually quite liked their pharmacy and store better. That may be because I spent so much of my time at Walgreens, literally knowing the ins and outs of every department and every last detail. I am not sure.
The absolutely irony of it all is that my loyalty and bond to Walgreens is very solid. I loved working for that company. But for several years now, I've actually preferred to fill my prescriptions with CVS. And I still use CVS to this day, despite my unwavering loyalty to Walgreens. In reality, there are many similarities and it comes down to personal preference. Maybe I needed a change of scenery. So there you have it, I'm a former pharmacy tech from Walgreens who now shops at CVS, but has respect and consideration for both.
Few more points to add :
- Front store manager could discipline the pharmacist
- pay is better at Walgreens
Hope this helps you with your decisions.
