Hi Galicia!

You'll have to start by earning a 4-year degree from an accredited institution followed by completed 3 years of professional work experience in your field, and thats the minimum to be even considered for the position. Here is more information and also detailed instructions on how to go about applying for it.

Also, there are several physical requirements necessary for successfully interviewing with the FBI. On top of the experience requirements to become a Special Agent, you need to be able to pass a physical fitness test that consists of the following:

1. SITUPS: Maximum number of continuous situps in one minute.

2. SPRINT: Timed 300-meter sprint.

3. PUSHUPS: Maximum number of continuous pushups (untimed).

4. RUN: Timed 1.5-Mile Run.

*5. PULLUPS: Maximum number of continuous pullups.

NOTE: Only candidates in the Tactical Recruitment Program (TRP) will complete this event.
