Hi Joshua. I have a tip on a question you can ask at that point in time when you will move from informational interviews to job application interviews. So please park this in the back of your mind if you find this useful.
Job interviews follow a relatively common exchange of questions from the interviewer and answers from the applicant. So YOU will do most of the answering not asking, BUT, in most professional interviews at some point toward the closing of the interview that person usually asks something to the effect of "Well as we are wrapping up, do you have any final questions?"
If you get that kind of FANTASTIC question here's what you do in four steps:
1. SMILE
- Say "Yes"
3 ......and then pause for a second or two.....,......
4. and ask "May I have the job?"
This is worked for me. It got my wife at job at the place she was applying. Same for my son at another firm. Granddaughter too. I've passed it along to many folks.
The answer to that question is obviously on your mind so why not ask it? It will certainly not get you disqualified from the job, it will make you unique compared to the other applicants, it sets you apart and they might like your gumption so much you get the job.
Like I said, if you wish put this idea in your mental closet until the right time. Good luck my friend.

Hi Joshua,
You are off to a great start! Informational interviews are great to do because it gives you insight and a clear visual of a your desired career, position, or company to determine that it is right for you. Some of the questions that you can ask during an informational interview are the following: 1) Can you tell me a bit about your career path and what led you to the role you're in today? 2) What does a work day look like for you? 3) What do you enjoy most about the work you do? / What are you most excited about right now? 4) What skills do you think are most important for someone interested in a job like yours? 5) Do you have any recommendations for other people I should talk to or other resources I should explore?
I hope this information helps you on your journey.
