Most welders also use :
Angle grinder to help smooth out joints,
Wire brushes, to clean metal surfaces or abrade them before welding
Chipping slag hammer
C-clamps, ball peen hammer, electrode tip cleaners, flint strikers, needle nose and linesmen cutting pliers.
Other tools to have on hand: cold chisels, flat-head and Phillips screwdrivers, round and flat files, levels and squares.
