Amy’s Answer

Your certification for nursing can come in different manners. I attended a Diploma Nursing School, so I was able to sit for my Board of Nursing, RN, Nursing certification in 3 years. I have friends that went to a 4 Year BSN program initially. After completing my Diploma School, and passed my boards, I was able to work full time as an RN, and then complete 1 year needed for finish my BSN. Throughout your career, depending on specialties, you may be able to add on to your certifications. I recently passed my COHN exam, and obtained certification in Occupational Health.
Good luck as you pursue your nursing career! Every day will be different, challenging, and rewarding.
