Is this nursing job good

Thank you comment icon <p>Minelie hi. Which type of nursing job are you looking into getting into? Do you have a specific field in mind? All nursing jobs are rewarding in their own way however some do pay better than others. </p> Misty Miller

Sandra’s Answer

Hi Minelie,
Many will say that having a nurse job is good and some will say not good; like many other careers, there will be positives and negatives, it depends upon how you perceive it once you experience it; though there are many rewarding attributes to nursing, here is a video of the mistaken attributes that cost a nurse her career, this is a news coverage video of a nurse who killed a patient due to a medication error: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/radonda-vaught-nurse-guilty-death-charlene-murphey-wrong-drug/ ; and an 1 1/2-hour video of the trial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hl9Q15qZtcU ; and another video of this trial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8WnBqcxmzuA (verdict); https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44_DCeXrKpI (rewards of nursing), and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6E0jT63kLo .
Thank you comment icon Hi Sandra! Thanks for leaving this answer! This is definitely a very important career with a lot of responsibility attached. You've shared some particularly heavy content here illustrating one of the realities of this career, but I don't want the Student to become discouraged or scared by it. To supplement what the Student can take away from the Vaught case, is there any advice you might have for the Student about maintaining confidence as a nurse, or even what supports are in place for healthcare Professionals in similar situations? Tristen’s Answer

I am a nurse and I would say YES! Simply because, nurses will always be needed as long a we have people on this planet. Illness and diseases have always been present and will remain present for the foreseeable future. Nurses are slain nurturers and healers, so that will always be required for humanity as well.

Go for it!!!
