Some biotech workers assume different roles other than lab work. For example, some might be data analysts that do a large portion of their work on the computer. Others might be supervisors who direct a team (or many teams) of researchers, and rather than working in the lab, they coordinate the data generated in the labs and look at the big picture.

Depending on the level of education, you could be anywhere. It does not always have to be in a lab. You could be supervising people who are working in labs, so the knowledge definitely helps.

Biotech worker work from a lab, office, out of their homes, travel in the field, visit different healthcare professionals. There are a lot of different areas and specialties you can contribute to.
