Hi Adriana!

I agree with Wyatt's answer, definitely leverage friends and family. I would also add to research companies that you would like to actually work for, reach out to their recruiting department (with your CV polished and ready with a cover letter) to see if they are looking for unpaid student interns right now even if they don't have it listed, or would consider it. Especially with everything going on with COVID, parents with kids at home and others working from home need the extra help right now!

Hope this helps

I would recommend leveraging your network as much as possible. If you have a specific industry or role in mind, I'd start reaching out to friends, parents, family members, etc. in your network that are doing something you're interested in or even know some that they could refer you to.

This way, you're not putting your resume into a blackhole, but actually connecting with people who can help you out. Knowing someone within a company you want to work at is the easiest and fastest path to eventually getting an internship or job there.

I got my first internship through my friend's cousin and it ended up converting into a full-time job, which was fantastic. This happened after months of applying on companies' websites and never even hearing back.
