Each state and or agency is different. It can be between 4-16 weeks or longer.

It all depends on the state where the academy is located. Each state has different basic standards. In Pennsylvania the Academy is approximately 8 months. Check with your local department, they would love to hear from you and can answer all your questions and possibly recruit you! Best of luck!
