Miranda’s Answer

I am not aware of free LVN/LPN programs with one exception. I know that some public vocational highschools have LVN/LPN programs so as a high school student you could complete this certificate and graduate eligible to sit for the NCLEX-PN. There is only 1 program I know like that. Other programs are usually paid for with tuition. One option to fund your education is to take the LVN/LPN certificate program at a state-run 2-year college and apply for financial aid. State-run colleges typically have cheaper tuition than private schools, and the have good financial aid services. Good luck!

Tom’s Answer

Hi Vernon. Interesting question. I have a granddaughter considering nursing so just copied it to Google and searched. Found a lot of sites that seem to offer Free LPN Classes. That to me is a red flag, so I'd direct your question specifically to your state Nurses Association. (New York, right? It would be this: https://www.nysna.org) There may well be free LPN training that is widely recognized and accepted. But be careful, lotta folks only want your money even for the 'free' stuff. Ask the nurses association. Good luck.
