Yes! That being said, I did not even know my current field of work (mergers and acquisitions tax) existed when I went to college. I majored in something completely different, and it wasn't until I was in my mid-20s that I came across my current career choice. And I love it! So you have plenty of time to find the perfect career for your interests, passions, and skill set.

Hello William,
Yes, I am happy with my career choice. I've learned how important it is to focus on your strengths in order to be happy and successful in a career. Also, identifying a growing career field is important. As an HR Professional, I've never had a challenge in finding a new opportunity. In addition, many organizations are now allowing more flexibility in how/where/when work is performed. If you are able to work anywhere (geographically, virtually) and with flexibility in schedule then it may lend to greater job satisfaction. I enjoy seeing an impact from the work that I perform on a regular basis.
I encourage you to think about your strengths and passions, and network with professionals in the fields that you find interest in. Best of luck to you!

Hi William. I'm really happy with my career choices, and I've made a few. Are you asking about a specific career though? If so, which career? And if not, then what would you like to know about my career or my career choice that could be helpful to you?
Cindy’s Answer
I would say I'm pretty happy with my career choice. I still feel like I am a little lost. However, I really love that I can be happy eventually down the line. Oftentimes, people go into school and careers blindly and I can say that is someone who I initially was. Once I realized how much I could do with my career I really enjoyed it. For me, the thing I have always wanted to do is help people, and in my career I know exactly how to do that.

Hi. I'm very happy with my career choice. I think it's important to reflect on what really interests you and gets you excited. For example: My parents were teachers, so growing up I heard a lot of dinner table discussion between them about issues between the union and management. Specifically how they felt they didn't have a voice in the matter. Being little, I didn't understand why they couldn't just share how they felt about a situation but rather the union had to speak on their behalf. They explained it to me and I said there should be someone who could help them talk to management without the union and they said that is what Human Resources does. I was hooked at that point. I was determined to be the voice for employees and help them work WITH their company's management. That is how I got into HR and why I love it! Take some time and reflect on something that has impacted you personally and think about how you can use that to drive you forward in your career.
