Daily life for radiologist :

There are multiple subspecialties in Radiology, so each of my partners daily work is quite different. I am an Interventional radiologist. I spend about half my time looking at Medical Imaging ( CT, x-ray, ultrasound, and MRI) to diagnose diseases. The other half of my time is spent performing procedures. We use ultrasound, CT, and x-ray to guide various Tools into different parts of the body to diagnose and treat illness. We can open and close arteries and veins as necessary. We also inject radiation and chemotherapy directly into tumors.

Hi Daniel! I'm a Certified Optician at an eye clinic. In a typical day I will quality inspect all the glasses that were ordered and ship to the store. When a customer needs their glasses fitted/adjusted they come see me and I will help their glasses fit their face. I also do troubleshooting, so if a customer is having trouble seeing out of their glasses I will try to find the issue and solve it. In addition I help patients who get eye exams with us pick out new glasses and I take their measurements to make sure it will be a good fit. I'll do all these things throughout they day, so I can go back and forth between tasks and don't get stuck doing just one thing in a day.

Great question! Good to get an idea of a typical day in the life of a profession. I am a gynecologist. On Mondays, I operate from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. then see postop patients. Tuesday through Friday, I see patients in the office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
I often round in the hospital before clinic patients. The variety is enjoyable for me!
