David’s Answer

Right now, is medical assisting. Front or back office. RN, is another good way to get into medical administration. There are also schools for medical transcription. If you are going to play the game of nursing, you may as well be a heavyweight. And that’s, BSN. A bachelors degree in nursing. MPH (Masters of Public Health) is another good way.

West Med. and Uni-Tech, are two Medical Assistant programs in San Jose. But it looks like there are more. I think this is an awesome career!

Thank you comment icon Would you be willing to send me an email so that we can chat about some of the things that you will have to do when working in Medical Administration, I am going to school to be a Medical Administrative Assistant. I have an assignment to talk to people that are working in that field or that know a little bit about it. Madison
Thank you comment icon I’ve tried to find a way to email you, but I couldn’t. I found your question though. I will answer it, before tomorrow. David George

Hi Jocelyn! I am currently a Health Management major in college and that is a great way to get into this field. Also, receiving a Master in Healthcare Administration is another way to advance your career in medical administration.
