When I worked with immigrants at Greater Boston Legal Services, the most difficult aspect of my job was to help them to know their rights and to educate them about our society. Cross-cultural communication can be a difficult aspect of any job and it definitely comes up in immigration. Sometimes you do your best but the person you are working with has to understand the "why" rather than just the "how" of your efforts in order for things to workout.
