What would be the best path to take for rehabilitation technician?
#career I am at job corps and want to get certified. Should I go to college or find a job? What should I choose?

Hi Daniel, this is a great question. Technicians are not required to have a license or certification, because the job duties are mostly clerical. Most companies provide on the job training and direct supervision. However, you do need a high school diploma and it's still good idea to get training from an accredited program to learn the basics and to obtain certification. If you are compassionate about helping people, organized and enjoy physical activity and willing to put in the required work you are already on the path to becoming a rehab technician. Most states require a rehabilitation technician or a physical therapy assistant to be certified. If you have received the required certification from Job Corp; your next step would be to find employment in the healthcare field.
