Hi George! The best way is to make connections with current individuals in the field. If any of your instructors work in the field then I would have a conversation with them about requirements, how they got a job in that field and if they know of any openings!

George,
My advice would be to start with research on your own which will ultimately lead you to making connections with indiviudals in the field. It is great to start with learning about the industry itself -it's history, the addressable market, the companies in the space, and the trends within the specific industry AND those trends which are affecting it. Once you have learned about the companies, I would look into any analyst reports which stack rank the companies by their pro's and con's. Then now that you can see who the leader is, begin to look at their career page to see what openings would be applicable to you based on your own experience. After seeing that, reach out individuals on Linkedin on those teams to see if someone would be open to connecting / sharing their experience. Also, if someone you already know is in that field, ask them! Hope this helps

In addition, leveraging professional apps such as Handshake and LinkedIn also make it easy to find and apply for a variety of jobs in whatever field you are interested in. I would encourage you to set up a strong LinkedIn account as many employers will look at it before interviewing you.
