Do I still have to go to college on the first day
I have chosen my classes for college already and they are only scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The first day of the fall semester starts on August 19 (Monday) do I still have to go even though I don't have classes on Mondays. It seems dumb but I need to make sure I haven't gotten any emails about any orientations or special events taken place when school starts. #college

It sounds like you are a commuter. As a commuter, it is harder to feel like you are a part of the college. It may be that everyone is a commuter. What you don't want to do is make the mistake of going to classes and going home. Scholastic stuff aside, the school sometimes has some pretty decent performers making the college circuit!
As to Monday, yea, you want to go. You want to see just how totally messed up the parking is, and how far you are going to have to walk! No, you don't have to go. But it would be good to have some time to just sort of take it all in , before jumping into classes.

Unless there is a compelling reason why not, sure show up Monday. Use the day to scope out things---the campus, the book store, where your classes are located, other students in your same boat. Yup. Get there and get going!!
Good luck.

Despite not having classes on Monday, I would suggest that you do go to the school anyway. That will give you an opportunity to find where your classes are ahead of time. If you wait until the day of, you will most likely arrive on time for class and have to go looking for your classroom. If the school has a big campus, it can be stressful. It would also give you an opportunity to see what the school has to offer you in terms of extracurricular activities.
Good luck!

Yes, usually the professor outlines the class for the semester on the first day. The first day is pretty important so you know what to expect for the semester or year.
