What is a good first job?
Me and my mother are in a very tight financial situation, and for some reason she hasn' #career t been able to start working yet, So I want to take action, rather than sit in a small room all day, And work, and help provide for mom and myself, Thanks!

You are to be commended for wanting to help support the family - not easy to do!
One of the jobs where you potentially stand to make a lot of money is as a waiter. I say "potentially" because it depends on the restaurant, getting scheduled during prime hours, and being good at it! I know a girl who was making over $40,000 a year as a waitress at a steak house! Since people usually tip a percentage of the bill, and steaks are expensive, the tips were really good. But, this requires awesome customer service skills. You will learn it as you go. You would probably start in a different style of restaurant, perhaps a diner, IHOP, etc.
The down side is you never know how much you will make in any given week. There are jobs at carwashes, retail, fast food, call centers. Hotels, parking valet, etc. Any job that is based on tips has the potential to pay well, but you really have to learn the art! And get scheduled for good hours.
