Marcella’s Answer

Hi Esmeralda,

Within the Bay Area, there are a lot of great options to choose from . It will depend on whether or not you want to go for your AA and licence or obtain your BSN. Some of the community colleges that I am aware of in the Bay Area are College of San Mateo and City College of San Francisco. If pursuing a BSN, you will need to dedicate at least 4 years to obtain your degree and license. Some colleges in the Bay Area I am aware of are San Francisco State University, University of San Francisco, and Sammuel Merrit College. Keep in mind that all of the nursing school programs in the Bay Area are impacted, which means that there are a high number of applicants each year for not many seats. The programs can be very competitive to get in to, but you can do it!
