Generally, I wait for stuff to break and then figure out how to fix it and then fix it. It's a compulsion I have. I'll also complain a lot about how much work I have to do. But between you and me, if I didn't have lots of stuff to fix, I'd get depressed. Kind of a vicious circle, but hey -- I like it.
Thanks for make me understanding.

Automotive Engineering encompasses every kind of basic engineering I can think of. Most engineering work is driven by the following factors which are often inter-related.
New Product Requirements
Factory problems
Quality
Cost
Customer problems
Supplier Problems
Agency Compliance (environmental, safety, etc.)
Engineers are expected to innovate in all of these areas as focused by their managers. They usually work in teams and check each other work vigorously to reduce risk and assure success. This process facilitates continuous learning. You can be sure you’ll be assigned work within your capabilities and that you will have a lifetime of growth according to your ability.
The best engineers have a good depth of ability in a few fields and a wide understanding of many including non-engineering subjects such as business and operations management.
There will be constant pressure to get work done on time, on budget and meeting specifications.
On a daily basis, there will be meetings to review design specs and timelines. There will be lab work where you investigate the challenge and test ideas. You can expect a fair amount of detailed paperwork required to document your work and get it approved and implemented. There is some waiting time for prototypes to be processed and tested.
You should be watching out for yourself regarding HR matters since HR is mostly self-serve online. There could be a fair amount of corporate training and hopefully some technical training.
Good engineers are always appreciated by their employers and can have good careers.
If you enjoy problem solving, it's always interesting and fun!
Don’t forget to engineer your personal life, as well!
