I am a radiologist. I work about 50 hours per week. My hours vary as my group provides 24/7 service. Twice a year I work a week of night shift; and twice a year, I work a week of evening shifts from 4-11 pm. Some radiologists work in outpatient centers and can have more regular hours.

I am a gynecologist, and I specialize in gynecologic surgery. I perform surgery one day per week, and that is usually an 8 hour day. The other days, I see patients in the hospital in the morning before clinic. I see patients from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm then finish up paperwork. Some days in the clinic are super busy and hectic, but you can set your schedule and be as busy as you want while providing great care to patients.

I am a surgeon, and yes, this career is very busy. I operate 2 days a week, perform smaller procedures one day a week, and work in clinic two days a week. I also take night and weekend call.
