Hi Arturo,
While I am not in the HVAC industry, I wanted to share some things I feel can help, no matter what field of work you’re in.
These include some basic and important qualities that have helped me in my career path, like the following:
1. Be reliable. Show up to work, deliver on your commitments and even go above and beyond to deliver results in your work.
2. Be a strong collaborator. Contribute to your team and the company you represent.
3. Grow your connections. Increase your network of customers, people, mentors and advocates who can help you advance in your career of choice.
4. Experience and Education. Be a life-long learner. Continue to look for new ways to increase your education and improve your skills in your field. Never stop learning and reach out to others for help and feedback.
Best wishes in your future goals!

That is a great question to ask! Although I am not in the HVAC Industry, I can still give you some advice in terms of my own experience. I've been in my field working professionally for just over a year and I can say that the one thing you don't want to do is stay stagnant in one position for too long. Career progression is very important in any given field and a way for your employer or future employers to cage your work ethic and your commitment to your career. The first thing to do is creating a good relationship that includes trust and reliability with your managers or bosses. This is so important for career progression because your managers are the ones responsible for deciding your future within your career. Second, is to be proactive. This means going above and beyond what is asked from you and showing that you are willing to take on more responsibility. Lastly, continue to learn more about your career field outside of work. This means obtaining new certifications, and taking advantage of free resources online that enable to expand your knowledge of the field.
