There are so many places you can take a carpentry career! Commercial or residential construction are two easy thoughts. What do you think about furniture or detail work? What areas of carpentry really interest you? Is it the angles and plains, building something from the ground up, or the finishing work? If you create a list of the areas of carpentry that you like, versus the ones that kind of drive you crazy, you might have a better understanding of where to apply your craft.
My husband builds furniture, he loves the handwork that comes in creating a custom piece...but he hates doing the final sanding and staining of the furniture - that's where I come in! I love to do the finish work...it can take many hours to make a piece look perfect, but I am so thrilled when it is complete!
Hope this helps!
