I think it would be best to research colleges that offer education administration. Those schools would provide the best direction regarding the appropriate classes to take and provide direction if you would like to look into a specialization.

As the previous poster said, it is always best to check the schools that you are considering to see what they require. Many places, like Central Connecticut State University, offer Education Leadership/Administration as a PhD degree. You would want to have undergraduate and graduate degrees in related fields. At a very basic level, you will need to take classes in education/pedagogy, as well as some developmental psychology classes specific to the age range for the school at which you would want to work. And, of course, it depends on what type of administration jobs you would like at the school. If you want to be a guidance counselor, you could major in something similar to "Counselor Education." If you want to be a principal, vice principal, or similar, you'd want to have that educational leadership background. If you wish to work as the office staff, those jobs depend on the school. Many do not require a specific level of education, or a specific major.
