I do not understand what a DDH degree is, but if it is involved in dentistry, it could help you get into a dental school. However it is not easy to get into dental school at all and many dental schools limit the number of hygiene students they might accept. Any American dental school can give you a degree of either DDS which means Doctor of Dental Surgery or a DMD which is something like Doctor of Medical Dentistry. These degrees are exactly equivalent and either one can lead you to a post-graduate program as an Oral Surgeon. You are looking at a minimum of 4 years for your dental degree, plus 3 or 4 years for the Oral Surgery degree. This is extremely expensive. My school, NYU College of Dentistry, probably has the greatest number of foreign students. They even have a 5 year program for students who have some family needs, need for part-time work, or just to make it easier to study in English more easily.
Good Luck in your endeavors!
PS: I have taught in many post-graduate programs as well as at two dental schools. I also headed a GPR program and a Dental hospital department before I was disabled from practicing dentistry. It is a long hard road but rewarding if you stay with it.
