Bill’s Answer

Timothy,

The Construction profession is ever changing and today is no different in providing opportunities for long term employment. If available to you, I would spend the time studying Construction Management to learn the Professional functions of the Construction field. If not, the Construction field offers wonderful entry intern and apprenticeships to learn a specific discipline and get you started in your Construction career.

All the best in your future pursuits.

Best, bill

Dan’s Answer

Timothy

You are entering a dynamic and ever growing industry. I started out just wanting to be a carpenter as I enjoyed making things. Then through the years i worked as an estimator for a large scale Union company in the city of Boston. Now i am in Wireless telecom and have built quite a few tower sites.

That is what i really enjoy about construction, it has so many paths you can take all in relation to general construction practices and knowledge

The environment in the construction field can be a wide range from being in your work boot's down literally in the trenches as well as wearing a shirt and tie in a large office setting managing all aspects of the construction projects

Hope this helps...

Thanks

Dan
