T.’s Answer

The job of a crime lab tech/forensic scientist on a scene is to document, recover and process evidence on a scene. Photos are taken of the scene as it is upon arrival, Evidence is recovered and processed for suspected DNA or blood. If it's a shooting or a homicide a sketch is drawn of the scene.

Jacynta’s Answer

Forensics is the science behind a crime scene. They are looking for evidence carefully, collecting data, capturing photos of the crime scene to create a picture to refer to later just in case something was missed. It's a scanning of the crime scene assessing the collected data for use in determining what exactly happened and who did the crime. The evidence collected is put through a database to see if the DNA is a match to any criminal in their system. Forensics basically tell the story of the events that has occurred to be the voice of the victim if applicable.
