John’s Answer

There are multiple options to follow your passion. An electro magnetic mechanic is a very specified field and might be hard to find a trade school that focuses on that subject.  I would suggest locating someone in that field and ask what course they took to be employed in that job.  You might start with Linked In and search on that job field.  You can always do an internet search on any topic of interest so try searching on that field and I bet you will find companies or courses that offer training in that field.

Damion’s Answer

You sound like a very determined person and that is a good thing! Something you may never have thought of is becoming an Elevator Mechanic. They work on fascinating items. I know this because my son is one. They make great money in their apprenticeship program and easily comparable to any four year degree. The trade gives you everything you need except motivation. I know some of the cars they build use magnetics amongst other types. Most union halls for them have an open enrollment annually or every other year.

Damion recommends the following next steps:

Contact your local hall
sign up for the enrollment
take the test
pass the interview
Go to work
