Is there enough space in the gaming industry?
I am currently working on developing my knowledge on game design so that I can help develop the games that I enjoyed as a kid, and I have always wondered if there were always positions available in the industry. #video-games #gaming #game-development #game-design

Gaming just like any other business will have different fields and you need to decide which filed piques your interest and based on that you need to develop your skillsets.

Hi Devin,
It's good to see that you're working on your game design skills and looking to the future. It certainly feels like the games industry is continuing to grow. Since the beginning of the smart phone era it definitely feels like the sheer number of games being released has skyrocketed.
More and more people are playing games these days. It's not just about home consoles and PCs. But like most industries, there are cycles of growth and recession. And demand will vary from location to location so even if you don't see many openings in your area doesn't mean that there isn't demand somewhere else. Overall the health of the games industry seems pretty strong:

The rise of e-sports is also a very telling trend as games garner increased viewership not just on streaming sites like twitch but on network tv as well:
So yeah, if this is your area of interest, better yet, your passion, then definitely pursue it and keep your eyes on this vibrant and growing industry.
I hope that this information helps. Good luck!
